This trip is an opportunity to see Verdi's opera Aida performed by an up and
coming opera company in beautiful Logan, Utah.
There are three elements to the trip: tickets, travel, & motel accommodations.
You can select ala carte any combination of the elements.
Tickets: We have reserved 36 of the best seats in the house. Tickets are $60
each and must be paid for by May 30.
Travel: We have reserved five 7 passenger vans and offer several possibilities
on length of stay in Logan. We plan to have a van leave on Friday morning,
July 18, and the remaining vans leaving early on Saturday morning. Most vans
will return Sunday afternoon but it is possible that one van will remain
until Monday afternoon. So you can leave on Fri or Sat and return on Sunday
or Monday.
The
cost of a seat in the van is $50 for 2 days, $65 for 3 days, and $80 for 4
days.
Motel: We have 3 choices for hotel rooms:
Best Western Baugh Motel - a Grand Old Hotel adjacent to the opera $106 - 130/ night
Hampton Inn - nice hotel near the opera (2 blocks) $95 / night
Comfort Inn - nice hotel 4 blocks from the opera $80 / night
All rooms save 2 in the Baugh are 2 doubles or 2 queens so double occupancy
can split the rate.

The ticket money is due May 30. The van and motel money is due June 30. Checks
should be made payable to Opera101 Field Trip.
We will have a special Opera 401 seminar on June 25th from noon to 1pm covering
Aida at the City Hall Auditorium. The seminar will feature video excerpts
from two separate performances of the opera and will likely increase your
enjoyment of the live event in Logan.
